چکیده
In the Argentina Pampas, one of most extensive agricultural areas in temperate fringe southern hemisphere, soil health is jeopardized mostly by decline physical and biological properties due to fragility managements, even under No-tillage (NT). this study, topsoil three Mollisols Vertisol two managements with no-tillage (good poor practices -GAP PAP-, differing their cropping intensity -CI-) was evaluated indirect measurement porosity features. Two types pore features derived from water release curves (SWRC) undisturbed samples at depths (0.0–0.05, 0.05–0.010 0.010–0.20 m) were employed: a) pores size distribution (>1000, 300, 50 < µm) b) volume density parameters: location (Dmode, Dmean Dmedian) shape (SD, Skewness Kurtosis). Pore parameters related management variables, clay mineralogy several chemical allowing i) evaluate effects intensification on properties; ii) intrinsic dynamics factors behaviour variable; iii) build an optimal frequency curve assess health. Among all assessed, PMac>300 µm Dmode showed close relationships variables positively a labile organic carbon fraction (POCc) aggregates stability tests, regardless type. Thus, they both may be selected as sound indicators status different pampean soils NT cultivation. Particularly, PAP treatments for evaluated, values below critical thresholds, highlighting deterioration subjected management. Cropping expressed CI index also strongly large (i.e. stability). These results demonstrate that effective counteract compaction processes variety Pampa region must seen important strategy avoid loss improve benefits NT.

Aggregate Size Distribution Indices Influenced by Different Types/Managements of Plant Residues under Field Conditions
1- INTRODUCTION Nowadays, environmental aspects of soil erosion are specifically considered by researchers. In this regard, secondary (aggregate) particle size distribution (SPSD) is so important in different issues such as nutrient loss, pollutant transport and carbon cycle. Aggregate size distribution is known as the representative of soil structure, which is by itself regarded as a dynami...
متن کاملThe Size of Pores in Collodion
In a study of collodion membranes which had been coated with films of gelatin or egg albumin, it was found that the presence of the protein reduced the rate of flow of water through the membranes, as would be expected if the protein film were formed on the wails of the pores. ~ In order to determine the thickness of such films, an at tempt has been made to estimate the size of pores in membrane...

متن کاملSelf- and Transport Diffusion in Narrow Pores with Different Roughness
1. Introduction We study molecular diffusion in nanopores with different types of roughness in the Knudsen regime in d=2 and d=3. We show that the diffusion can be mapped onto Levy walks and discuss the roughness dependence of the diffusion coefficients D s and D t of self-and transport diffusion, respectively. We use scaling arguments and numerical simulations to understand how both types of d...
متن کاملThe Size of Pores in Collodion Membranes
By the application of Poiseuille's law to the rate of flow of water through collodion membranes, it is calculated that the membranes used had pore radii of the order of 0.3 to 2 x 10(-6) cm. On the same basis the number of pores per sq. cm. appears to vary from 270 x 10(10) to 7 x 10(10), decreasing with increase in pore size. Reasons are given for preferring these figures for the radii to figu...
